welcome to a page where i will be emanating streams of multicoloured blog for anyone to consume. this shifting of energy between my mind and yours is a memetic/magickal phenomena and one i will explore to its extreme in a potentially endless stream of posts designed to continue the cycles of thought digestion that are inherent within the human condition..

please excuse the odd rant or jargon filled confusion-ism, for much of what i write is spontaneously projected from the deep recesses of the human psyche. Tongue out

funcTion of art and science

Art is a word to generalise about imaginative/constructive things which bring experience and/or knowledge to both the makers and the observers. over the past century the whole idea of art has been torn to shreds, which is necessary in the evolution of any concept, but the momentum of constructive energy will probably never end.

In my opinion art is inevitably functional, even if the maker or viewer is unaware of its function. i also believe any phenomena in life can be thought of as functional, if one chooses; therefore the difference between life and art (or science and art) becomes hazy and ultimately the difference does not exist.

film, music, performance, painting, sculpture, photography, jewellery, writing/poetry, graffiti, textiles, cooking, multimedia, game design, blogging and the many other forms of imaginative (re)construction are a natural byproduct of the human organism. all these methods can be used for communication of thoughts/feelings or for the expression of beauty/wonder.

Science learns by controlled experiment, slowly building a foundation of knowledge for people to use for changing the world around them to suit their will. Art pours out of the hearts and minds of the people, and also contributes to the pool of understanding and vision that can inspire and act as a catalyst for ideas to be shared..

for many people, science and art are both seen as attempts at discovering truth through experience and observation. if an occupation brings someone joy, knowledge, or inspiration then they have a positive impact on their community just by being part of it.

time?

after posting on a great forum recently, i have been thinking about the way Time tricks us into thinking plants and rocks are static and do not react with their surroundings.

oh yes, call me a treelovin hippy, but seriously we forget that we behave and move in a relatively fast paced way compared to trees and rocks etc. making it easy to dismiss them for having less 'life' than us.

Einstein got into the whole relativity stuff, and this is a perfect way to understand it in my view: Time is subjective, which basically means time is a personally interpreted thing. it is not the same for everybody let alone every organism (or every planet for that matter)...

the only thing that makes time seem so rigid and predictable is the cycle of day/night and the seasons, which we as humans have taken to the next level and divided up a huge amount, resulting in 'clock time'. now clocks make everyone think in terms of seconds, minutes and hours, when all there really is, is the movement of nature and the stars...

dreams/imagination

Sunday 27 August, 2006 - 23:16 by in ::WORD::

a more readable intro to dreaming:

reality is what you make of it. many will argue that what the human can do is limited by laws and boring stuff, but they're not using their imagination very much are they?:) imagination is something we all have. it is real. for me, the imagination is just a more subtle plane of reality.

for example i take dreams to be very real experiences. sure, often we do not remember them, but they are still always in the background. they are influencing as well as being influenced by what happens in waking life.

dreaming involves emotions and the mind, but not the physical body as much. some people lucid dream regularly. lucid dreaming is a dream in which you know you are dreaming. many people believe you travel in an 'energy body' in some extremely lucid dreams where it seems as though you are actually in another world. this is sometimes called 'astral travelling' or 'out of body experience'. i know someone who was lying in bed in a half sleeping trance state, when suddenly he was right next to his bed looking at his body sleeping. this is an example of an out of body experience. of course he was frightened after the first time it happened but now he is beginning to explore the potentials.

stuff like this is real for many everyday people but they do not ever talk about it because it is such taboo in many cultures. ie people think you are crazy or "into that kind of thing". it is sad to think that much of the coolest parts of life go on without anyone talking about them due to being afraid of being stereotyped by others.

better quality MP3 files are now there below for anyone who wants a couple of free experimental electronic beats.. saving the files to your harddrive is probably the best way to get em (windows users: right click and save target as. mac users: hold mouse down until menu pops up, or 'ctrl+click' for instant menu, and save file as), Enjoy!

anyway..

back to my absurd ramblings..

the next expression i would like to conduct is one on the phenomena of the internet..

electrotechno babble of the click button variety and hums of the digital domain ring in my ears. but beside the sometimes linear and over-logical formats (as opposed to a more organic ergonomic potential..) the network is vast:: the network is living:: the web is gathering momentum, and is moving people and their energy beyond the confines of their (extra)ordinary lives. i suppose to look at it nonjudgementally, IT is being the information of the earth and is emerging through the development of technology; but it also speaks of things so very unearthly..

flash sites like: http://www.samorost2.net/samorost1/ are simply out of this world in terms of interactive audio-visual content. well worth the wait while it loads, and once it has, a game unfolds. click on parts of the image to continue the story.

but in terms of reading material, places like:
offer plenty of obscure concepts to browse through...

sEEing

the background noise that is visible when one closes ones eyes is a subject all to itself. have you ever gone deeply into the investigation of this phenomena? i haveTongue out. and by becoming more aware of what imagery comes to surface just before going to sleep, or while meditating (if you get into it), one developes a sense of energy-sight.

firstly one may encounter little speckles and dots which move as you try and focus on them. these are common and nothing to worry about. they are actually cells drifting across a certain part of the inner eye. they can become annoying though if strong enough.

beyond the little defects of the eye, one notices other phenomena: like now if i want to, i can look at any object and then take my attention away from the surface normally visible, and begin to concentrate on the background noise of my imagination. behind all normal sight, ones imagination is at work generalising and piecing together what one sees.

now, if you allow the idea that frequencies of 'light' above and below the visible spectrum may also be detectable by the human organism in ways we do not yet understand, then you can begin to open yourself up to a vast world beyond the 'superficial' world of normal visual sight...

to believe in something with your whole organism is to allow it to exist and open up the opportunity for it to become real.. belief becomes a tool of creativity..

energy

Tuesday 22 August, 2006 - 13:50 by in ::WORD::

energy is not just a scientific force or abstract description of atoms, it can be thought of in many ways as many already know.. the common example of emotion (energetic-motion) is a perfect example that became popular in the 70s but has now become day to day speach..

mantra:    here experiencing eternal evolution of energy*

the above mantra when explored and all words have been fully researched gives a clear headed observer state of mind which allows for energy to be seen directly, similar to shamanic practices written extensively about by Carlos Castenada.

*note: the letter 'e' and the sound ee brings up so much green clean leafy pristine..

curioSite

it is curious and exciting to think that in the last 24 hours there have been 66 visitors to this virtual space.. i suppose a few of them would be myself but still.

as i enter data it runs through a string of energyforms:

starting from a desire to write something, the 'potential blog vapour' then begins to condense into 'mind-clouds'...

then these clouds rain pulses of 'electromegnetic blog' through the nervous system and down to the fingertips...

then the fingers impart force downward so that the desired letters are contacted on the keyboard...

then it turns electromagnetic again, this time in the PC i'm working on, where the potential blog is sent through the nervous system of the World Wide Web passing through organs such as servers, and being processed by enzyme/programs.

it is then dished out as a palpable dish ready for a consumer to then process and inevitably pass on into distant spaces both virtual and tangible...

the life of a curioSite..
